The only chinese thing we have as an extremely common occurence is soup. the rest, is not Chinese food as Aussies percieve it (not Szechuan, not Hong Kong, not funghii and herbal soups and wolfberries, not Taiwanese) Oh. AND NOT "MALAYSIAN/SINGAPOREAN" that's not Chinese food either.
